Custom Sports & Gym Bags

Build sports carry around the kit people actually pack. Define usable capacity, shoe storage, wet/dry separation and cleaning access, then develop the compartment layout and carrying method around your brand's brief.

Discuss This Product

Start with the intended use. Quantity, timing and materials can still be undecided.

01 · Intended use

Begin With the User, Load & Environment

  • Gym retail ranges: plan space for shoes, a change of clothes, a bottle and small valuables.
  • Team programmes: discuss kit volume, player identification and carrying between transport, changing rooms and training.
  • Active commuting collections: balance hands-free carrying with access to training kit and everyday essentials.

02 · Formats to develop

Choose a Practical Starting Format

Grey sports backpack, illustrative format reference

Sports backpack direction

Use the grey backpack as a format reference for hands-free commuting. Discuss a shoe sleeve or removable shoe pouch, then check how it competes with clothing space and affects access when fully packed.

Discuss the format

Everyday gym duffel direction

Use the white duffel as a starting silhouette for short gym visits. Discuss an end-access shoe compartment, a separate damp-kit pocket and a wide main opening that lets users reach lining corners for cleaning.

Logo duffel, illustrative branding reference

Branded team duffel direction

Use the logo duffel as a branding reference for team ranges. Define the equipment load before choosing capacity; compare grab handles and a detachable shoulder strap, with reinforcement and strap comfort reviewed against the intended load.

03 · Customisation

Define What Must Be Different

Specify the essential functions first. Material availability, construction and budget determine which options are feasible.

  • Specify shell colour, lining contrast and zipper pulls to suit the range.
  • Discuss print, embroidery or patches, checking artwork placement against seams and pocket access.
  • Choose shoe-entry position, damp-kit pocket size and removable pouch options.
  • Define handle lengths, shoulder padding, labels and retail packaging in the brief.

04 · Materials & construction

Make the Trade-Offs Visible

These are design choices to evaluate during development, not automatic features or performance guarantees.

Woven shell with accessible lining

Potential benefit
Offers a starting point for handfeel and cleaning discussions.
Trade-off
Finish and lining choices change weight, cost and drying behaviour.
Confirm before sampling
Agree material options, cleaning instructions and access to internal corners.

Fixed shoe sleeve or removable pouch

Potential benefit
Keeps footwear organised apart from clothing.
Trade-off
A fixed sleeve consumes main-compartment space; a pouch needs removal.
Confirm before sampling
Check intended shoe sizes, entry width and packed capacity; neither option eliminates odour.

Coated damp-kit pocket or separate wet pouch

Potential benefit
Creates a defined wet/dry separation option.
Trade-off
Closures and seams remain limitations; coatings may restrict drying.
Confirm before sampling
Define damp-item exposure and cleaning access; do not assume universal waterproofness.

Backpack straps, handles or shoulder strap

Potential benefit
Matches carrying to the journey and intended load.
Trade-off
Extra straps add bulk and can obstruct openings.
Confirm before sampling
Review attachment positions, loaded balance, adjustability and opening clearance.

05 · Development checkpoints

Illustrative concept / development discussion

Illustrative development discussion — not a completed customer project or verified test result.

This is not an actual Liora project or validated sample. Proposed checkpoints: first, a representative packing review would produce a compartment layout and usable-capacity notes. Second, a cleaning-access review would produce lining-access observations and draft care guidance. Third, an agreed sample review would document shoe fit, damp-pocket boundaries, closure access and loaded carry observations in a revision list. These are proposed outputs, not completed checks or evidence of performance; any product claim would need an agreed verification scope.

06 · MOQ & sampling

Plan Around the Actual Specification

Minimum order quantity

Typical carry MOQ is 300 pieces per style per colour. Confirm the quantity split with material, trim and branding choices before planning an order. Smaller pilots are subject to feasibility review, not automatic availability.

Sampling influences

Begin with a kit list, dimensions, artwork and target price. Agree sample scope, cost and timing before proceeding. Review packing, cleaning access and carry method together, then record revisions and approval criteria before an order decision.

07 · Before you brief

Helpful Details to Bring

  • List kit contents and the largest shoe size to accommodate.
  • Define usable capacity with shoe and damp-kit compartments occupied.
  • Specify damp-item exposure, separation expectations and exclusions.
  • Confirm cleaning reach, removable parts and intended care instructions.
  • State carry method, intended load, branding and quantity per colour.

Related Development Questions

How should we specify capacity?

Send a representative kit list and target dimensions. Review usable space with shoes and damp kit packed, rather than relying only on a nominal litre figure.

Does a wet pocket make the bag waterproof?

No. Define the damp items and exposure expected, then discuss lining, seams and closure limitations. Treat whole-bag water protection as a separate requirement needing specific review.
